“Oy u luzi” ("Ой у лузі червона калина" – Oh, the red guelder rose in the meadow) is an iconic Ukrainian song. It was written by Stepan Charnetsky in 1914 when Ukrainian Insurgent Army was fighting against communists. After 100 years, the history repeats itself – Ukrainian people are facing full-scaled Russian invasion, and they are fighting back so brave and fierce that the whole world is moved and impressed!
The war brings a lot of terrors for everyone. But specially to the most vulnerable ones – the children. Many of them lost parents, relatives, home… We can’t change their terrible past but I believe we should do everything in our power to help them heal and strive. Children are our future.
